Coast & Country Housing
Established in 2001, Coast & Country Housing took over the ownership and management of homes from Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council as part of a Large Scale Stock Transfer in July 2002.
As the largest RSL within Redcar and Cleveland, our current housing stock totals 10,684 (Apr 06) all of which are based exclusively within the Borough, however, we do supply a number of services to other RSL’s outside this geographical area.
Our properties and estates are located in a diverse range of urban estates, seaside resorts and rural villages. We believe that working together with local communities to find local solutions is a key factor in building and sustaining communities.
The wide range of skills, land and labour available on our doorstep matches the scope of our regeneration plans. Our highly successful Adult Trainee and Modern Apprentice Scheme helps to provide the local labour force with opportunities to develop and acquire new skills.
We are delivering high quality homes which will contribute to the wider regeneration and sustainability of the communities within Redcar & Cleveland and beyond. We aim to ensure that our regeneration work will have a positive impact on people’s lives, achieving a careful balance of new homes for sale and for rent creating the kind of neighbourhoods that will flourish well into the future.
Erimus Housing
Erimus Housing was established in November 2004, following the positive ballot by tenants to transfer Middlesbrough Council’s housing stock over to a new not-for-profit housing association.
We now own more than 11,600 homes throughout Middlesbrough, employ around 500 people and Erimus is a key player in the regeneration of the town. In order to achieve the Decent Homes targets by 2010, Erimus is investing more than £ 105m in communities across Middlesbrough to provide high quality homes for people inareas that are safe and attractive.
We are also investing in people and want to work with residents to create sustainable neighbourhoods where people want to live. Erimus is working in partnership with Middlesbrough Council and key RSLs to support existing regeneration initiatives and develop new housing and regeneration opportunities for current tenants and future residents.
Providing new homes is a key priority for Erimus in order to replace obsolete and unpopular properties and to ensure that current and future residents have a better choice of affordable quality accommodation to meet their needs and demands in the 21st century.
