Coast & Country staff have been officially recognised for their customer service, dedication and work ethic.

An awards ceremony was held at Gisborough Hall, where the winners comprised:

Area Housing Award: Redcar Office. The team has exceeded a range of performance targets in terms of customer satisfaction and allocation of homes.

Company Team of the Year: Assisted Gardening Team. They work in all weathers making sure public open spaces and community gardens are well kept and tidy.

Ideas and Innovation Award: Sam Frewin, who works in the HR department created an internal online management system to view sickness and other absences at a glance.

Company Going the Extra Mile (GEM) Award: Steve Healey, Head of Maintenance Operations, was recognised for being dependable, customer focused and an all round team player.

Champion Colleague Award: Lyn Hewling, Acting Contact Centre Manager, was honoured for being reliable, getting the job done, and showing great enthusiasm and a commitment to the company.

Special Contribution Award winners: Joanna Caton, Tony Robinson, Helen Gregory, Pam Guest, Debbie Brown & Anthony Green, Andrea Laverick, Lynne Turner and Pippa Shepherd. All these winners have played a consistent part in the development of the Company.

Iain Sim, Coast & Country Chief Executive, said: “Our staff are dedicated to providing a high quality customer-focused service and we are delighted to officially recognise those who have gone the extra mile with regard to their work at Coast & Country.”

Ideas and Innovation: Steve Brown; Company Team of the Year: Brick Skinning Team and the Customer Contact Centre; GEM award: Richard Atkinson, Pam Guest, Billy Heslop, Jacqui Thompson and Mickey Waugh; Champion Colleague: Barbara Bonas, Donna Trainor, Ben Briggs, Colin Esplin, Helen Gregory, Billy Heslop, David McGill, Donna Rudd and Andy Skinner; and Special Contribution: Helen Gregory, Pam Guest Debbie Brown and Anthony Green, and Lyn Hewling Andrea Laverick, Pippa Shepherd, Lynne Turner, Angela Blake and Julie Felgate.
